What is a First Press?
On notabl, every song has a ladder. The first person to claim a song gets card #1, and that card is the First Press. Each song has only one.
Position decides the tier
Your card's position is the order it was claimed in, and our server records that order. It is never random. The earlier you claim, the higher the tier:
- First Press#1
- Diamond#2 to #5
- Platinum#6 to #25
- Gold#26 to #100
- Silver#101 to #500
- Bronze#501 and up
Every edition has its own
Each edition of an album, like a deluxe or a clean version, has its own ladder and its own First Press.
Cards can move up
When a card ahead of yours is released, your card moves up a place and its tier updates. A Diamond at #2 can become the First Press.
Where it shows
A card claimed at #1 doesn't get a random finish. It carries the original press. Your First Presses are counted on your profile and on your web profile at notabl.fm/@username, and they count the most toward your global rank.
